Dr.Nick Perch
His journey of self-discovery began in the deserts of Afghanistan, where he spent years as a military doctor with the US NAVY. In 2013, after four deployments to Afghanistan, he encountered post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Seeking to rid himself of the shadows of the past, he traveled to India, where he discovered pranayama — breathing practices that became a guiding thread for him in battling this affliction.
Deciding to stay in India, he became a volunteer and teacher, discovering his journey to healing and personal growth in this country. Today, he is proud to be a Professor of Yoga Philosophy, with his dissertation focusing on the study of the Katha Upanishad and its impact on the fear of death in children and adults.
He was born in Ukraine, received his medical education there, and immigrated to the United States in 1999. It’s been 30 years since he moved to America, but his Slavic accent remains part of his speech.
Struggling with dyslexia, shyness, and his broken speech, he decided to use artificial intelligence to voice his books. He hoped that this approach would not deter intelligent listeners but provide accessibility and inclusivity to a wider audience.
